FIRST Tech Challenge, commonly referred as FTC, is a club, in which students, as a team, create a robot to complete specific tasks. For example, this year, a robot had to collect spheres, and shoot them. Watch the video on YouTube. Just search up "DECODE". As well as creating a robot, FTC involves programming, outreaching, and presenting.
Being part of FTC for 5 years, I have learned how to create a drive train, and program it. With my experience of FTC, I created a robot for TSA as well. I have outreach to four different countries. This includes, Belize, Niger, Boliva, and Rwanda. I have also mentored local FLL and FTC teams in the U.S. I love FTC because it has taught me so much! Being captain, I have lead my team to three qualifiers, making nominations for the Inspire Award twice!
Robotics isn't just about winning competitions—it’s about teaching kids how to become problem solvers.
Whether your child is building their very first SPIKE Prime robot, competing in FIRST LEGO League, or writing advanced Java for an FTC team, finding clear, step-by-step coding resources is a challenge. That’s why We created NUSIGHTS.
It’s a complete learning portal designed for both competitive teams AND kids who just love to build and code. From visual block logic to real-world engineering concepts, we make learning STEM accessible and fun.
