What is NUSIGHTS?
NUSIGHTS is a browser-based platform where students can design, program, and simulate robots for FIRST LEGO League (FLL) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) competitions—no physical hardware required.
How Students Benefit:
Zero Hardware Barrier — Students can start programming immediately without expensive robotics kits. All they need is a browser.
Visual Programming to Real Code — Beginners start with drag-and-drop Blockly blocks (85+ custom robotics blocks) and naturally progress to writing Java, the same language used in FTC competitions.
3D Robot Simulation — Code comes to life instantly in a high-fidelity 3D environment with realistic physics, official competition fields, and real robot configurations, enabling much faster iteration than physical robots.
33+ Sample Programs — From basic “drive forward” examples to advanced sensor-based autonomous routines, students learn by building on working templates.
Real Competition Preparation — The platform uses actual FTC SDK APIs, official field layouts, and real hardware configurations, so skills transfer directly to competition settings.
Safe to Experiment — Students can try ideas, make mistakes, and learn quickly without the risk of damaging hardware.
